How the hints work

Hints are calculated live from your own guesses, so they always match your game, whatever day or puzzle number you are on. Each hint reveals a little more, letting you keep the satisfaction of solving it yourself.

General tips when you're stuck

Try a word that tests 4–5 new letters instead of guessing a near-miss.
Remember letters can repeat (e.g. LLAMA, EERIE).
Common endings: -ER, -LY, -CH, -SH, -ED. Common starts: S, C, B, T, P.
